Novita is a smart and sophisticated 60-seat trattoria serving a seasonally inspired, modern, Italian menu. Opened in November of 1994 by the same dedicated kitchen team working today, Novita has established a widely recognized reputation for consistently delicious food and congenial top-notch service.
Novita is located in the Gramercy Park neighborhood of Manhattan on a quiet tree-lined street. In the warmer months a 14-seat sidewalk cafe is opened and patrons have the option of dining alfresco under canvas market umbrellas.
A 12-seat private dining alcove off the main room can be reserved for intimate dinner parties, business luncheons and/or presentations.
Chef/partner Marco Fregonese's modern adaptation of classical Italian cooking was developed over an accomplished 30-year culinary career that began in Piedmonte/Lombardy Italy under the tutelage of the regions most celebrated chefs. His culinary philosophy is quality, simplicity and innovation.
Managing/partner Giuseppe Delpiano exemplifies the warmth and spirit of the gracious Italian host. As maître d', this tireless professional is committed to providing his guests with the highest quality service and hospitality possible.
